Description:

Responsible for all aspects of the National Industrial Security Program (physical and non-tangible) protecting classified information and the protection of company assets. Consistently interpret, implement and maintain a highly affective security program built on Government policies and supplemental guidance. In addition, this position will oversee the optimal functioning of all physical building systems included the mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety programs, and ensuring asset protection on behalf of the company. Responsibility includes controlling cost, assessing and minimizing risk and liability, and providing a safe and efficient work environment for all employees. Objectively and professionally conduct investigations regarding sensitive issues and violations of written policies, and may need to issue disciplinary guidance.

• Serve as a Key Management Personnel (KMP) on Facility Clearance License and hold the position of Facilities Security Officer (FSO) as required by the NISPOM.
• Responsible for developing and implementing security policies and procedures
• Manage all aspects of the NISP for a Non-Possessing Facility and other security activities which include visitor control, personnel security and preparation of required forms/documentation.
• Process outgoing visit requests and certifications
• Process new employee security clearances, including tracking within the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
• Manage current employee security clearances and documentation tracking within JPAS. Includes all requests, changes and terminations
• Maintain all personnel clearance files in accordance with the NISPOM
• Provide Industrial Security guidance to Human Resources Department, Business Development and Executive Management
• Conduct Industrial Security briefings, debriefings and annual training for cleared personnel
• Implementation of the Security Education Program (as needed)
• Independently performs moderately to highly complex data analyst tasks and assignments to include the analysis and validation of data (data profiling) and the creation of data mappings
• Manage all aspects of the Facility Clearance, including liaising with the Defense Security Services (DSS) and United States government clients
• Manage current employee security clearances and documentation tracking within JPAS. Includes all requests, changes and terminations
• Assign key and grant access to badge readers
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
• Relationship building with internal/external customers and partners
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Well-organized, detailed, customer (internal and external) oriented, self-starter
• Ability to prioritize duties, handle competing priorities and deadlines effectively and respond well to last minute, high priority, time sensitive projects.
• Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the company, and practice discretion
• Experience with National Security Agency (NSA) and Intelligence Community

Functional Responsibility:

Facility Security Officer (FSO) Tasks:

• Create and update security plans, procedures, and instructions.
• Maintain working relationships with government agencies.
• Participate in the development and execution of security education programs.
• Supervise daily security activities and enforce government and company security policies.
• Perform access control responsibilities including managing badges, access cards and visit requests.

Required Certifications: FSO Certification

Required Education Prefer a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Security or related field or 8 years work experience

Required Experience: Experience with Special Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) and Experience with Communications/Information Security (COMSEC/INFOSEC)
