Responsibilities

Everwatch is looking for a Senior Police Advisor to support INL based in Lebanon.  This role will conduct training, design educational programs, as well as mentor and advise foreign law enforcement officials. 

 

Position Requirements:

 

  • US Citizenship
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in criminal justice, business administration, organizational development, education or other related field
  • 15 years’ experience as a full-time, POST certified sworn officer in a federal or local US LE agency with at least 5 years’ experience executing LE training program
  • 3 years curriculum dev/training delivery; and/or, designing/implementing M&E frameworks for LE programs; and/or, mentoring & advising foreign LE officials
  • 1 year of experience with a focus on training/curriculum development and/or police mentoring/advising in an international mission such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia, Kosovo or other DoS, UN or OSCE sponsored mission
  • Demonstrated experience in development/reform of foreign police organizations, or other relevant experience with foreign police organizations
  • Ability to obtain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) clearance
  • Must be proficient in the English language (reading, listening, report writing, and oral presentation) (at least 5/5 DoS scale or the equivalent)
  • Excellent oral & written communications skills, ability to brief senior officials
  • Knowledge of adult learning techniques
  • Knowledge of DoS policies/objectives in providing assistance to host country police orgs
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with other contractor and grant personnel, staff members of USG agencies, foreign officials, and international personnel
  • Demonstrated ability to explain, promote, and defend USG policies to senior LE officials of other nations and the host country and representatives of international organizations
  • Proven ability to exercise a high degree of professional judgment, diplomacy, and tact in order to build successful relationships with Lebanese partners & international community
  • Strong interpersonal skills; proven ability to work well with others
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, and ability to organize, analyze, prepare, and present information to a variety of audiences

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • French and/or Arabic language proficiency and knowledge of Lebanese history, culture and current events
  • 3 years developing/delivering LE training curriculum to foreign governments; and/or, 3 years delivering training curriculum to foreign police; and/or, 2 years developing & implementing M&E frameworks to measure program impact; and/or, 3 years mentoring foreign LE Advisors
