The Staff/Action Officer shall assist the DDI Warfighter Support (WS) with policy oversight, implementation planning, and execution of transformational initiatives for the functional CCMD intelligence directorates, JIOCs, Component Command and CSA, and Military Service intelligence initiatives.  Ensure timely development of related policies, directives and instructions and assist in providing subject matter expertise to support the USD(I&S)’s oversight role.  Review CCMD, Services, and Combat Support Agencies’ compliance with OUSD(I&S) guidance and the JIOC Execute Order (EXORD).  The contractor shall provide daily operational and intelligence updates to the OUSD(I&S) senior leadership.

Coordinate with CCMDs, Military Services and the CSAs on focus areas that include:

  • Strengthening intelligence disciplines to improve competence and capacity;
  • Implementing an Intelligence Campaign Planning process to better anticipate threats and plan for intelligence operations;
  • Sustain JIOCs to enable more agile operations and strengthen Combatant Commander support;
  • Ensuring that the Department develops and maintains adequate capabilities to provide intelligence support to Joint Targeting, Nuclear, Space, Cyber, and Transportation/Logistics/Distribution operations
  • Improving all source analysis to anticipate threats and better warn of impending attacks.


Coordinate with the CCMDs, the Joint Staff, the Military Services, CSAs, Intelligence Community and Interagency on global ISR and other issues.  Provide analysis on CCMD intelligence and JIOC capabilities, requirements policy, authorities, and resources while seeking to ameliorate shortfalls and impediments.    Assist, advise, and review CCMDs and CSAs progress and compliance with established policy and guidance. 


  • BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 12 years of relevant experience
  • Recent (within the past 10 years) relevant experience working intelligence issues for USCYBERCOM
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance


Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
    Recent (within the past 5 years) relevant experience as an action officer on the Joint Staff, OSD, Service, CSA, Service Intelligence Center or CCMD Staffs working intelligence related issues.
  • Recent (within the past 10 years) relevant experience indicating knowledge of, or participation in, the planning and execution of military operations.
  • Minimum of 12 years’ experience as a DoD or military intelligence/space professional
