Responsibilities

DevOps engineering requires a specific mix of development, engineering, and communication skills. As a DevOps engineer, you know that these skills create efficiency and effectiveness—so you can quickly deliver the best solutions for clients. We’re looking for a DevOps engineer like you to help develop critical tools—and get them into the hands of those who need them most.  

As a DevOps engineer at EverWatch, you’ll streamline the software development lifecycle, from requirements to monitoring in production. You’ll incorporate open-source tools, automation, and cloud resources to cut down on tedious tasks and free up the team’s developers to do what they do best—create. You’ll work with the team to implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing and troubleshooting. This is an opportunity to hone your skills in the latest automation, infrastructure, and cloud-based development while developing software that will make mission-forward impact.

Qualifications

You Have:   

  • 5+ years of experience developing tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments
  • 5+ years of experience troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving issues for CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness
  • Experience in Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, and Python or Golang
  • Experience developing enterprise Cloud-native solutions
  • Experience working with application development teams across the software development life cycle and creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment
  • Experience hosting applications on commercial Cloud providers  
  • Experience with Jenkins, GitLab runners, GitHub actions, Terraform, Terragrunt, and Pulumi
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in CS or Computer Engineering

 

Nice If You Have:   

  • Experience managing and maintaining ElasticSearch and Kibana
  • Experience creating and improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacks
  • Experience creating and improving continuous deployment tools built on Kubernetes
  • Experience triaging and resolving issues related to both open-source and commercial tools in public Cloud environments
  • Experience bringing other organizations on board with DevOps, championing the adoption of DevOps processes, tools, and roles, and working with other development teams to recast work
  • Master's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, or a related field

 

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance with a polygraph is required.  

 

 

Compensation at EverWatch is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $91.35 to $105.77 per hour.  The estimate displayed represents the typical compensation range for this position and is just one component of EverWatch’s total compensation package for employees.
