On our team, you’ll provide technical expertise for database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis.  You’ll provide your client with peace of mind as you implement policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the database. You’ll use technology and tools like PostgreSQL to identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical database.

 You Have:   

• Experience with SQL and performance tuning query optimization
• Experience with logical and physical replication, partitioning, and backup strategies
• Experiencie with PostGIS and PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of monitoring tools, including pg_stat_statements, Prometheus, or Grafana
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and CLI tools like psql

• Knowledge of scripting languages for automation and tooling

• TS/SCI with a polygraph

• Bachelors Degree and 5+ years of experience with database engineering or HS Diploma or GED and 10+ years of experience with database engineering

Nice If You Have:   

• Experience with containerized environments like Docker or Kubernetes

• Knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS RDS, GCP Cloud SQL, or Azure Database for PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrasturcutre as code including Terraform and Ansible
• Knowledge of Oracle, MySQL, or NoSQL

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required 

Compensation at EverWatch is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $45.67 to $57.69 per hour.  The estimate displayed represents the typical compensation range for this position and is just one component of EverWatch’s total compensation package for employees.
